Completed in 2009, the villa overlooks the beautiful Vlicha Bay. Offering everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing holiday, while providing the perfect base for touring the island of Rhodes. Villa Caterina is a short stroll, approx 200m, from the clear waters of the sea at Vlicha beach, and the tavernas and mini-market nearby mean that a car is not essential. The villa offers light and airy air-conditioned accommodation, with 3 double bedrooms, all with sea views, 2 bathrooms, living room, outside dining area, and its own private swimming pool, with sunbeds and parasols. The historic town of Lindos is 5 minutes by car.

Notes on prices

Prices are for the whole property. Prices are given in UK pounds. Payment may be made in UK pounds or Euros. Short breaks of 3-4 nights may be available. Discounts available for long lets, please contact us for details.

Changeover day

The preferred changeover days are Wednesday and Saturday. Please contact us if you require a different changeover day. Arrival time is from 4pm and departure by 10am.

Accommodation

Bedrooms:
3 double bedrooms, all air-conditioned.
Bedroom 1 with double bed, sea views. Individual balcony with seating.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds, sea views. Individual balcony with seating.
Bedroom 3 with twin beds, with sea views. Opens on to patio.

Bathrooms:
Bathroom 1 ground floor with shower, WC and basin.
Bathroom 2 first floor, bath with shower over, WC and basin.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped kitchen with electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster etc. Well equipped with crockery, cooking utensils, glasses, etc. Cool box with freezer blocks.

Living Rooms:
Lounge area contains HD LCD satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, large sofa (converts to double bed enabling villa to sleep 8). Air conditioned. Views over the swimming pool to Vlicha Bay. Patio doors to outside patio area.

Other:
Hair dryer provided. Air-conditioning throughout. Cot. High chair. Combination safe. Storage area contains washing machine, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service:
Bedlinen and towels are included (not beach/pool towels) and changed weekly.The villa is cleaned weekly during your stay. Extra cleaning/towel and bedlinen change available for a small charge payable locally.

Notes on accommodation

The villa is fully air-conditioned. Cot and high chair provided. We kindly ask that guests refrain from smoking inside the villa. If you have a special occasion during your visit we will be happy to arrange flowers/champagne/balloons etc for you (this is an extra and the cost is additional to the rental price).
We can also assist with wedding arrangements or renewal of marriage vows – please let us know if you would like further details. The property is managed for us by an English speaking company in Rhodes. A local representative is available to help with any queries you may have, as well as providing 24 hour emergency assistance.

Accessibility

The villa is on a slope leading up from the beach. It has a double bedroom on the ground floor and this is on the same level as bathroom 1, lounge/dining area, kitchen, patio, pool and garden. Whilst there are two steps leading up to the front door of the villa, rear access is via a low slope to the side of the villa.

Outside

The villa has its own private 8 x 4m swimming pool, for the sole use of guests. The patio area extends around the pool, with sunbeds and furniture for outdoor dining for 8 guests. Barbecue. Car parking is at the rear of the villa.

Coast/Beach

The nearest beach is Vlicha, approxmately 2 minutes walk. The sea here is beautifully clear and delightfully refreshing on a hot summer day!

Golf

The nearest golf course is at Afandou, approximately 20 minutes drive away. It is an 18 hole course and is open to the public all year round.

Travel

Rhodes international airport is approximately 40 minutes drive away. There is a taxi rank at the airport and car hire firms operate here too. Whilst a car is not essential for your stay at Villa Caterina, it is recommended for exploring the fascinating island of Rhodes. There is a taxi rank in Vlicha Bay, and a car hire firm operates from here too. The nearest bus stop is approximately 20 minutes walk. Ferries sail from Rhodes harbour to the neighbouring Greek islands as well as Turkey.

Distances

The nearest shops and tavernas are in Vlicha Bay itself, a few minutes walk away. A larger supermarket is only 3 minutes drive by car. A ‘must see’ for any trip to Rhodes is the historic town of Lindos, and this is only 5 minutes car drive from Villa Caterina. Here the ancient acropolis dominates the town, and if the walk up to the acropolis looks daunting, it is possible to take a donkey ride through the winding streets up to the top!

Further details

The nearest wifi and internet connection is a few minutes walk from the villa. We have found mobile phone coverage at the villa to be excellent.
The nearby town of Lindos offers an array of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, banks, internet cafes and cafes with wifi hotspots.
Europe’s biggest water park is 25 minutes’ car drive from the villa.

Booking notes

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before arrival date, together with a refundable breakage deposit of £200. Payment may be made in pounds sterling or in Euros.
